About
Ben works as a Cinematographer on narrative shorts, music videos & promotional content. He enjoys collaboration, working with a team to realise the Director's vision, but is also a confident solo shooter with the ability to offer end-to-end video production.
Most recently, Ben has completed a promotional film for Bolney Wine Estate's partnership with Glyndebourne Opera House. Over the past year he has shot two short films in collaboration with Welsh Director Tomos Harrison, Wild Camping and Field Gate. Wild Camping has just been submitted to a selection of UK Film Festivals. Field Gate, shot on the Alexa 35 with Cooke Speed Panchros, is in post-production.

Experience:
Since 2021, Ben has specialised in the Camera Department on Film & TV productions, developing his technical and collaborative skills. Alongside this he has been shooting short films, music videos & promotional films for international clients.
He has shot work utilising lightweight kit such as the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 & Sony A7C II, through to cinema cameras such as the Alexa Mini & Alexa 35.
Fully CAA-compliant drone pilot holding active Flyer and Operator IDs, backed by comprehensive commercial third-party liability insurance for all shoot days.
Confident editor with over 10 years experience using Final Cut Pro X.
Selected credits as Camera Assistant:
Strike (BBC/HBO), The Conjuring: Last Rites (Warner Bros), Grace (ITV) & Queenie (Channel 4). In addition, he has experience on commercials, for brands such as Dettol, Olay & Spotify.

How it can evoke empathy in an audience whilst conveying subject matter that is both complex and unfamiliar.
